Key seats to watch

Registering to vote if you have no fixed address.

A person who does not have a fixed or permanent address may register at the place where they spend most of their time, or to which they have a local connection. In some cases they will need to register by making a declaration of local connection.

Some of the example ways that this policy applies

someone who is homeless or has no fixed address, including

• merchant seamen
• members of gypsy and traveller communities
• people living on narrow boats and other movable residences

people who have been remanded in custody, but haven't yet been convicted

patients in a mental health hospital.

Other elections in Sheffield

 As well as the elections for councillors on Sheffield City Council and the PCC there are also the following elections:

• Ecclesfield Parish Councillors
• A referendum on the Broomhill, Broomfield, Endcliffe, Summerfield and Tapton Neighbourhood Plan Area
• A referendum on how Sheffield City Council is to be run

Police and Crime Commissioner election

 There are only three candidates on the Statement of Persons Nominated for the Police and Crime Commissioner for the South Yorkshire Police Area
